Sharing the Love: Maybelline

Maybelline is a brand that I would never have really looked at in previous years. Not because I thought there was anything wrong with the brand, but I just tended to stick to Rimmel and Catrice products because they worked for me. Recently though I have absolutely been loving Maybelline as a brand, and a lot of my everyday make-up is from them. Cheap as chips products, great quality, what's not to love! So today I thought I'd share with you all my top picks from the brand, and who know's maybe you'll come across things you've never tried that you may want to give a go to! :)

Fit Me Foundation: This has been my go to foundation as of late. Its exactly the kind of coverage I like, light weight foundation but it is buildable. It just gives a nice healthy glow to the skin, which I love, as matte foundations just make my skin look too flat. The idea behind this foundation is its make up that fits you and your skin tone. The colours are divided into pink toned and yellow toned, making it easier for you to find your perfect match. The colour I was previously using, (120), was a tad too dark, so I just used it whenever I used fake tan. But I picked it up in 115, which is a much better match to my skin tone, so its getting lots of use! Its a brilliant price too at only 11.99!

Fit Me Concealer:  From the same family as the foundation, this concealer has been compared to the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, but as I don't have it I can't say 'yay or nay' to the comparison. However I can say I love this concealer. Its a light creamy concealer, which can be used under the eye to brighten up or used on blemishes as it has enough pigmentation. And it doesn't settle in to the nooks and crannies under my eyes woo! And its only 8.99! :)

24 Hour Colour Tattoo Cream Eyeshadow: Everyone knows the deal with these now so I don't have to go on and on about them again, but they are fantastic to use as bases for eyeshadows! I often use On And On Bronze on its own if I can't be bothered with heavy eyeshadow, but some of the others I find very patchy looking on their own, so I tend to reserve them solely as bases, but they do a fantastic job of keeping eyeshadow in place! My personal favourite shades are On And On Bronze and Pink Gold! These are only 10 euro each, and they do last for an eternity!

Colour Sensational Lipsticks: This was the first product that made me realise I needed more Maybelline in my life. Its been a while since I've used these so I really must give them more love over the summer! The colours I own are 'Hot Plum' and 'Shocking Coral' which as the names suggest are really bright in your face colours, perfect for the summer evenings! The pigmentation is great, and they don't dry out your lips, which is  great as its my pet peeve in lip products! Again these are only a tenner, so its a great way to try out bright lipsticks without spending a huge amount of money!

The Eraser Under Eye Concealer: Another concealer, but its love! This undereye concealer was a god send for me when I was suffering from really bad dark circles, nothing else I tried worked. Until I tried this and it instantly got rid of those blue/purple undertones from under my eyes and it made me look more awake and refreshed in seconds! Its 11.99 so again, not badly priced!

Maybelline Colour Elixirs: I had heard so much of these on Essie Buttons channel that I had to pick up a couple, and now I'm raging that I didn't pick up some more because these are one of the most comfortable lip products I've ever had. They are similar to a gloss, but they're so much more pigmented than a standard gloss, and they are so creamy! And even after the gloss has disappeared, there's a slight stain left on the lips! These weren't expensive, maybe around 7/8 dollars, but I'm really hoping they appear on Maybelline Stands here soon!

So that's it ladies... Not a lot here, but still, the few bits that are here are really great, or at least I think they are anyway!
What products are you loving lately?

Benefit Vending Machines.

I was in JFK last Tuesday, and after being disappointed in myself for not doing as much shopping as I could have (rookie mistake), I'd decided I was going to make the most of airport shopping and spend a chunk of the dollars that I had left. Until I got to the terminal and saw that the shopping was complete and utter rubbish. We were flying out from Terminal 5 and maybe its one of the smaller terminals at the airport or something but shopping was very limited. There was a tiny shop with some perfumes and cigarettes, a few stands with a couple of beauty brands outside it, but that was it for beauty shopping. I was well and truly disgusted because I thought there may have been some MAC, but nope!
But then... I came across a vending machine. Not much excitement there until I looked in and saw it was selling Benefit Products! How mental is that! I don't own much Benefit bar the Dandelion blush, and the ever popular Porefessional primer, so I thought I may aswell try some new bits to see were they as good as the other two!
                                                            The vending machine itself...

But the really important question is... What did I buy?
I had thought about purchasing Sugarbomb blush as I love Dandelion so much, but then I decided it would be more beneficial to try some of the mini's instead.
So I opted for the 'Beauty Score' kit, which seemed better value for 36 dollars compared to 1 blush at 28 dollars, (beauty maths right there).
It contains 10 mini sized products which are the perfect size for travelling, and out of the 10 I've only ever tried one, which is good going!

The products it contains are:

  • Benetint Cheek and Lip Stain (2.5mls)
  • Highbeam  Highlighter  (2.5mls)
  • Stay Don't Stray Primer (2.5mls)
  • Ooh La Lift Under Eye Brightener (2.5mls)
  • The Porefessional Primer (7.5mls)
  • That Gal Highlighter (7.5mls)
  • It's Potent Eye Cream (3.0grms)
  • Hoola Bronzer (3.0grms)
  • BelleBamba Blush (3.0grms)
  • They're Real Mascara (3.0grms0
All in all I'm really impressed with what's in this, and I think its fantastic value, considering it works out to be about 25 euro! I know they're all smaller sizes, but realistically they will last me for ages, as I had a sample this size of the Porefessional before, and it last me a good 6/8 weeks! I'm especially looking forward to trying the Hoola Bronzer and the Ooh La Lift brightener! :)

Have any of you tried any of these products? What do you think of Benefit overall?

Derma V10 Cleansing Milk

I ran out of my favourite Lancome Cleansing Milk before I went away last week, and for the sake of packing, I didn't want to be bringing a huge bottle of micellar water and a hot cloth cleanser with me, so I decided for the week that was in it I'd make do with one cleanser instead. I opted for something cheap and cheerful and picked up this Derma V10 Deep Cleansing Milk in Tesco for 1.99 as I'd heard of the brand and figured it would be grand. It contains Sweet Almond Oil, and is free of parabens and other nastys. All this sounded so good to me I didn't think twice about it and packed it in my toiletry bag without even trying it before I went away. Which I really really should have!

This stuff just did not work for me at all! I used it twice a day, morning and nighttime. Nighttime it was OK because it just took off my makeup really, but in the morning when I was giving my skin a freshening up it just left this greasy residue across my face, and even trying to wipe of the excess with cottonpads didn't work, because the cotton pads just stuck to it, leaving my face covered in bits of fluff! This residue that was left behind also made it fairly hard for me to carry on with my skincare routine and my eye cream and moisturiser didn't work as well as they should have, in my opinion. For the week I was there and using this, my boyfriend also commented on how patchy and streaky my make up was, and I figured it had to be bad for him to comment on it, because he never comments on my make up, ever. The only thing I had changed up in my routine was my cleanser, so the only thing I can put the change in how my make up looked was down to that. Maybe its unfair of me to do so, but I honestly can't think of any other reasons, considering as soon as I came home and went back to using a micellar water until I picked up another cleanser, I have had no problems with streaky make up. Overall its not the end of the world, it was only cheap, but I just couldn't be bothered to bring it home because I knew I wasn't going to use it again so I left it at the hotel (hence the lack of pictures), so its either gone straight in the bin or maybe the cleaning lady has found a new holy grail cleanser! :P
All in all it just wasn't for me, and I have since purchased a new Garnier cleansing milk to try, but if you have any other suggestions, please let me know!

Bath and Body Works Haul...

One of the shops I knew I had to visit when I went on holidays was Bath and Body Works. With candles constantly being featured in vloggers videos on YouTube I wanted in on the action myself, so when we came across a store on a visit to Jersey Gardens there was no holding me back! Instead of getting some of the large jars, I opted for some of the sampler jars, which were on offer 3 for 10 dollars, so I got 6 because they were only small, and I had plenty of space in my suitcase!

The scents I chose were:

  • Island Margarita: Which as the name suggests, smells exactly like a zingy cocktail! It makes me look forward to sitting by a pool in the Summer lazing in the sun with said cocktail! ;)
  • Mahogany Teakwood: This isn't one I thought I'd like, but in fact I'm suprised with how much I do! Its a very grown up woody scent and its a nice change from all the fruity sweet ones I usually go for!
  • Sundrenched Vineyard: I imagine this is meant to smell like wine given the name, but to me it doesn't. It does smell fruity, to me it smells like berry's as opposed to grapes, but regardless its a nice fresh scent!
  • Springtime In Provence: I think this could be my favourite out of the bunch, its what I imagine a nice crisp Spring/Summers day to smell like, if only we ever got those in Ireland.
  • Red Guava Lava: Again, another fruity smell, (what can I say I'm obsessed),
  • Peach Bellini: Can you see a theme developing here? It smells like peaches, and smells like a cocktail. Winning!

Another thing which I had seen a lot on YouTube was the hand sanitizers, and after a week using the Subway and constantly putting my hands in places where probably thousands had been before me that day, I could see how useful they were. And they were on offer 5 for 5 dollars, so can't really go wrong with that!

  • Meyer Lemon: Obviously a lemon scent, and I love lemon and anything lemon scented, so it was common sense to get this one!
  • Island Margarita: The same scent as the candle, just in hand santizer form. Yay for clean hands that smell like margaritas! :P
  • Rainforest Sugarcane: This is a citrusy scent, with a hint of vanilla to it.
  • Carribean Escape: Another fruity one, with just a hint of coconut to it!
I did get another one but Paul kept it for himself for work... And now I can't remember which one it was, but no doubt it was sweet and fruity! :P

So that is all I bought in Bath And Bodyworks. I'm trying to figure out how to break up the hauls exactly, as I bought a lot more make up than anything else and I can't remember where I bought everything as I didn't keep my receipt. Oops! But I'll figure it out so except lots of hauls and reviews over the coming weeks.

Apologies...

Hey everyone, this is just a quick post to say I'm so sorry about my lack of posting in the last couple of weeks! For a while I lost my blogging 'mojo' if you'd call it that, and last week I was in New York and just literally arrived back today so I'm a bit away with the fairies! However I'm back now, and I can't wait to share some posts of the goodies I bought with you all, (and believe me, there's a lot)! From now on I'll be blogging on a more regular basis.. Promise!

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paints

As I haven mentioned before on this little slice of the Internet, I have collected an insane amount of nail polish. Most of it being drugstore with the exception of a couple of bottles of Nails Inc that I picked up at bargain prices in TK Maxx. I'm not fussy, if I like the colour I'll buy it, simple as that. Today though, I thought I'd talk about the one brand that has impressed me much that I've kept going back for more, and so have ended up with quite a few, all in the same formula. They are the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine polishes to be exact, and if  you've never heard of them then leave. NOW. Hehe, only joking, but seriously though, you must give them a try!

So what's the point of them you ask? Well basically, they give the effect of a gel manicure, without having to go to a beautician and stick your nails under a UV lamp and all that jazz! As Barry M say themselves 'a highly pigmented, chip resistant formula. Gives a glossy gel-like finish with a single coat'.
So for 5.99 its possible to get a professional looking gel manicure! Hooray!
I have to say while they are very pigmented, some are more than others. For example the colours Lychee and Dragon that I have pictured below are lighter colours, so seem to take an extra coat  to look more opaque! Most of them though are opaque in one coat, but for me I'm used to wearing two coats of any nail polish, so I just apply two out of habit, but it makes them last a day or two more without chipping, so that's something to consider, especially as these are so glossy a top coat isn't really needed! The formula is a little bit thicker given that its a gel formula, and it applies relatively easy. The only thing I'm not sure about is the brush. I recently picked up Dragon and Key Lime, and it could just be me but the brush seems to be a lot thinner or something. But still it applies fairly easily as long as the brush isn't overloaded, otherwise it just goes everywhere, and that ain't a pretty sight!
So with all that out of the way I'm going to show you the colours I have!

Blueberry: A really pretty light almost pastel blue colour. I haven't given this much love lately and that will have to change soon because its such an unusual colour and it looks so pretty on the nails!

Blue Grape: This is the total opposite to the last one in that its a really deep royal blue shade, and again one that deserves more love from me. For some reason I feel more like a winter shade, which is crazy because I think it would look brilliant on the toenails with a deep tan! (Which I will never have, sigh) :(

Key Lime: As you can see, its a really bright in your face green colour. I'm not really sure how I feel about it to be honest. I look at it one day and say oh ya that's really nice, and then the next day I hate it and want to take it off straight away! However though there's no denying its a great Summer colour, I think it'll look especially great with a tan, or if you think its a bit much for the fingernails, it'll look fantastic on your toenails!

Dragon: This is such a pretty girly shade, I love it so much I can see myself wearing it quite a lot over the Summer, if it ever gets here that is! It is a nice bright pink, but at the same time, I think its something you can get away with in the work place without it looking too mental. Both these colours make me so excited for holidays and beaches and cocktails!

Greenberry: This is my favourite out of the bunch by far. I love green, more or less any shade of it, and this is one I've gotten so much wear out of, as you can see from the messy bottle! Its a turquoise green, that nearly leans towards neon its that bright! But that's why I like it, its a shade that just makes me think of warmer weather.

Lychee: Lastly, my least favourite of the bunch. Its a nude shade that has been raved about online, but it just does nothing for me because I'm so pale it just makes my hands look ghostly. I think I shall be sticking with pinky nudes from now on!

Have you lovely ladies tried any of these polishes? What other shades should I try?

Soap And Glory Solar Powder Bronzer

You know you have a serious addiction to make up when you go through your stash and you find things that you didn't even know you owned. I'm seriously hoping that I'm not the only one that this happens to, on a more frequent basis than I would actually like to admit. Anyway, recently in a bid to save my euros I decided instead of raiding Boots in the 3 for 2 like plenty did, (if you're one of these people I'm very jealous and please tell me what you bought so I can live vicariously through you), I instead raided my own excessively large make up collection to see what I had that I could add in to my daily make up routine, and I found this. WHEN did I even buy it? I can't remember exactly, but I have a feeling it came as part of a set that I more than likely picked up in the post Christmas sales. I'm ashamed to admit it wasn't even swatched when I resurrected it, how bad is that!
I haven't used bronzer in my make up routine in years, partly because of bad memories from teenage disco's of Rimmels Sunshimmer Bronzer being used for absolutely everything. I remember even applying it to my elbows! Why I don't know... But since then I've given up the bronzer because I really believed nothing would work for me, instead I'd just look like I'd been Tango'd.

That was until I tried this! The product itself comes in typical Soap And Glory packaging, totally cute and girly. The bronzer is contained inside  a black cardboard case, but don't let that put you off, because it is seriously sturdy. Its made up of two different shades, a matte darker colour, and a more shimmery lighter shade, both of which are perfect for my pale Irish red haired complexion. There is a slight over spray on the embossed S&G in the product itself, but after one quick swipe its gone, so no need to worry about your face looking like a glitterball!
At first I wasn't too sure where exactly to apply bronzer, what with being a bronzer virgin, so I just went with what I've seen people do in video's on YouTube and applied it to the higher point of my cheekbones, my temples and the jawbone, and I was super impressed I didn't look like one of Willy Wonka's helpers! It just looked so natural, and it looked like I'd just come back from a weeks sun holiday... (I wish). Then I applied a little coral blush to the apples of my cheeks just to feel extra Summery!!
The only thing I haven't tried to do with it yet is the dreaded contouring, but I think that shall be left for a day until I don't have to go anywhere, and can stay on front of the mirror for the day to perfect my Kim Kardashian like features.... :D Oh I wish!!
Overall I have to say I'm very impressed with the Soap And Glory powder products that I've tried. I've also tried the 'Love at First Blush, which is gorgeous too, and I've heard rave reviews about their highlighter and finishing powder aswell. It retails at 14.00 euro, which isn't too bad. Its the more expensive side of the drug store, but still reasonable enough that you won't feel too guilty about sneaking it into your basket! ;)

Have you tried this or any of the other powders?

March Favourites:

Its hard to believe another month has just flown by in the blink of an eye! Madness isn't it! Anyway, all that 'OMG, where is time going' stuff, March was a really good month for me, product wise. I discovered some absolute gems this month that I have absolutely and genuinely loved. You may think I'm exaggerating, but you know its true love when you use a product every single day since you got it! Beauty Addicts are you with me???

The first thing I've been absolutely loving is a BB Cream from Lidl. Yes you read that right, Lidl. Its part of their Orisis range that they brought out recently, but it disappears fairly fast off the shelves. (Its back in store for Mother's Day now if you're interested.) But anyway, this stuff is AMAZING. Its light and it feels really cool and refreshing on my skin and gives a decent amount of coverage. It makes me go from looking like I've just gotten out of bed to bright eyed and bushy tailed in seconds! It comes in 2 colours, light and medium. I'm as pale as Casper, and can sometimes find colour matching difficult, but the light shade is perfect for me. And the best bit? Its only 2.99! I'm genuinely so impressed with this, its been my go to base for more or less every day this month.

Next up is a skincare product. Skincare isn't something that I would have been too bothered about before, but in the last couple of months I've been trying harder, as I'm slowly but surely heading for the wrong side of 25. And they say prevention is better than cure! Its Tesco's Pro Formula Hot Cloth Cleanser. This stuff is the best cleanser I've used so far. Hot Cloth cleansers are all the rage in the beauty world lately, so I decided to give one a go. And I'm glad I did! It literally takes every scrap of make up off my face. I even used a micellar solution after it incase there was some make up left on my face, but there was zero!! It was a bargain price of 6.50 and it even came with a little muslin cloth aswell. I find this very rough for my face though so I'll be buying a couple of softer cloths to use with it instead. But its well worth it and I shall definitely repurchase this!

Spring finally seemed to appear in March, and I got so excited I gave my make up bag a good shake up for the sun. This Sleek Blush Trio in Lace has been on my face more or less all month. With 3 differing shades of coral in the palette its perfect for sunny days and evenings. It just makes me feel happy and excited for Summer, and if I were to go on a sun holiday this is something I would definitely pack. These are also great value at around 10 euro for 3 blush shades! Can't go wrong with that! :)

I eventually gave in and picked up the Wet N Wild Megalast Lipstick in Just Peachy. I had been eyeing it up for ages, and although at 2.99 it wasn't going to break the bank, I just wasn't sure the shade was going to suit me. However, I bought it and I'm so glad I did. Its such a beautiful shade of peach, and it doesn't wash me out like I thought it would. Its rare that I wear the same lipstick every day for more or less a month, but for March this is all I've worn.

Because the weather has been so good, I've gone back to my trusty Roger And Gallet Fleur De Figeur as my scent for March. This has gotten me so many compliments over the last few weeks. Its one of those scents that is beautifully sweet and fruity, but not in an immature or teenage way. Its slowly but surely making its way to the bottom of the bottle though, so a repurchase will definitely be on the cards at some point. Its also available in a small bottle and a big bottle, and they're very inexpensive. The bigger size is 39.99 so its not expensive in comparison to other perfumes.

And lastly, I've been obsessed with statement jewelry. Anything big and colourful specifically. This one is a recent purchase from Penney's that I absolutely adore. I love mint green anyway, and teamed with the coral and the pearls its perfect to brighten up a plain outfit. And it was only 8 euro!

So that my dears is March's favourites!
Anything here that you've tried?

Top Yankee Candle Scents

Its pretty much a blogger cliche to have an obsession with candles. I have to admit I love candles, and some of my favourite video's to watch on YouTube are Bath and Bodyworks hauls, even though we can't buy them here! I know, I'm a strange girl. Saying that, we can access Yankee Candles a lot easier this side of the pond, so incase you live under a rock and never tried said candles, I'm going to share with you today my personal favourite smells! There's a variety of size candles to choose from, there's small jars, medium and large. Now I still live at home, and I don't spend a lot of time in my room, so I wouldn't be able to burn jars for the length of time necessary. However, they also do little wax tarts which when placed in a burner, melt with the heat of the flame of a tealight, and throw the scent around the room or wherever you burn it like you wouldn't believe! So this is the method I use. They are also priced at only 1.50 euro, and if you're burning it in a small space you can cut them in half and get more value for money that way, which is always a good thing!
So here are my top picks!

First up is Fireside Treats. This smells so good I could almost eat it, if it wasn't a pile of wax. This smells exactly what 'Smores' would taste like, sweet like marshmallows but yet with the smokiness of the camp fire! Yummy! Its a sweet scent but not one that's overly sickly.

Vanilla Lime: If you love the scent of Soap and Glory's Sugar Crush then you'll love this just as much. I would even go as far to say as it smells like a Margarita or some other really fruity cocktail! It has the slight subtle scent of vanilla, which stops the lime scent from being too over powering. Its just such a nice fresh scent which I think would be perfect for burning in a kitchen, especially after you've been cooking to eliminate odours such as onions and the likes.

Pink Dragonfruit: I've never heard of a dragonfruit. In fact I don't even know if it is even a real fruit. But this is just a really beautiful fruity scent. Its super sweet though, so probably best to avoid if you don't like anything too sweet. I don't even know what kind of fruit to compare it to, but from the scent itself, it smells like the type of  really juicy fruit that you would sink your teeth into and end up with juice all over the place! So in other words, really juicy.

Salted Caramel:  Are you all noticing a pattern here with all the foodie scents? Hmm, me too. Anyway, if you haven't smelt this, then go do it like right now! This smells like homemade caramel, plain and simple, with a little tiny dash of salt thrown in there, just for taste. Its delicious! And everytime I smell it, it makes me wish I could bake, purely just so I could make caramel. Someday though! This is another one I think would be good for kitchens or a larger space, as I think its too sweet for smaller rooms.

Baby Powder: And to finish, a non food one! This is new born baby smell. It is divine! And every time I smell this it just makes me picture a tiny baby wrapped up in blankets that smells so clean and innocent. This is probably the most inoffensive scent of them all, as its really mild. So if you're the type of person who's very sensitive to stronger scents then maybe give this a try, as its not too in your face, and it doesn't throw too much of a scent.

So they are some of my favourite scents. I could go on and on forever as so many of them smell fantastic but I think you'd all get bored fairly quickly! The best advice I can give is just go to a Yankee Candle shop and sniff sniff sniff! The staff in my local store in Galway are so friendly and always on hand to help if you need it, and there is more than likely always offers of some sort on in store. If you're nowhere near a store then you can buy online also from HERE.

Have you any personal favourites? If so tell me, I always love to try new smells!

Likes and Dislikes

I'm not the most confident person in the world, and for the last few days I've been really struggling with some issues that I just can't seem to shake off. Said issues are mainly my teeth. I HATE THEM. I know that sounds a bit over the top, but they are the one part of me that I'm terrible self conscious of. Years of grinding my teeth and acid erosion has taken its toll unfortunately, and that in itself I could cope with. But its the colour and appearance I can't take. I know teeth are naturally a yellow colour (my own dentist told me so), but my teeth are really discoloured, and there's also gaps in them that I've recently become so paranoid about. Anyway after all that, I decided to make it into a blog post, not a blog post about how much I hate things about myself, but about the things I like about myself, so maybe it'll counteract my ever growing paranoia about my teeth!

1: My hair: My hair is probably my favourite feature altogether. I've super curly hair, that so many people compliment me on on a regular basis. It takes little to no effort to style my hair, a bit of mousse in it after its washed and its good to go. Another positive thing about having such curly hair is that its very dry, so it doesn't tend to get greasy too quickly, so I could easily go 3/4 days before it needs to be washed. Yay! (This doesn't mean I don't wash myself more frequently though, obviously.)

2: My small feet: I'm petite at only 5'0, and because of this my feet are only a size 3/4. This makes it super easy for me to find nice shoes and trainers etc.... But it also means I can purchase shoes in the kiddies section! Yay!! :)

3: My eyebrows: This may seem like a strange one, but with eyebrows now becoming a staple part in so many peoples make up routine I'm lucky because I have very strong eyebrows that don't require much work. They are a little sparse in sections, but its not hugely noticeable, so I get away without having to do anything major with them, bar filling in with pencil.

4: My waist:  I have a tiny waist, that I know many other girls would only love to have. I don't find buying clothes difficult to buy generally, but sometimes I can find dresses hard to buy because while I'm small on top, my hips and legs are slightly bigger... But hey, you can't have it all!

5: My Skin: Compared to other people, I am so so privileged with my skin. Bar the odd breakout once a month, my skin is usually quite good. It used to very sensitive when I was in my teens, but as I've gotten older it seems to have sorted itself out, and I usually can get away with using whatever I like on my skin.

So that's it for today ladies, a bit of a different post, but I thought it would be nice to sit down and think about what I like about myself for a change, instead of focusing on what I don't like.
What about you ladies? What are your likes/dislikes about yourselves?

Rimmel Match Perfection Blush

Hey everyone, happy Friday! Today I'm back with a review of something in my collection that I absolutely LOVE, but I haven't seen too much talk about it in the blogosphere, so I thought I'd change that with my little opinion!

It is  the Rimmel Match Perfection Blush in 01 Light. It is part of the Match Perfection line  from Rimmel that is made up of a number of other products, including the well known Match Perfection Foundation, Concealer, and Powder.
First of all for me the packaging isn't great. Its the same as the Stay Matte powder, the product is encased in a plastic bottom, and its a plastic lid the screws on to protect the product from getting damaged. I've had no problems with it yet, but I would be afraid to pop it in my handbag as the last time I brought something similar to this packaging in my handbag, my bag got destroyed! But as it's a drugstore product, I won't dwell to much on the packaging, just something to be aware of! :)
The product itself is made up of 2 shades of blush although online it says 3, but I can only see 2, which can be used seperately or together. My preferred method of use is to grab my Real Techniques Blush Brush, swirl the colours together and then pop on to my cheeks. I find it gives a really nice natural flush of colour to the cheeks, which is what Rimmel say in their blurb for the product anyway. I was having a look on the Boot's site just to see the general consensus on the product, and some people seemed disappointed because they say it has very little colour pay-off, but if you look at the colours in the pan, they are very muted, understated colours, which is why I like it. It goes with any make up look. For the day time its perfect if you're just popping to the shop for a few bits and don't want to go ott with your face, for the night time its perfect if you're going out and are going for something a bit heavier, say a smokey eye and a red lip, because it instantly just adds a pop of colour to the cheeks, without distracting from the main elements of the look! The powder itself is nice, I find it easy to apply and blend, and no fall out, which can often happen with a blush after tapping your brush into it.
I had been intending to use this today and to take a picture to show you all what it looks like, but I had my make up done when I realised I'd used another blush! Sorry guys! :( I will add in a picture the next  time I use it though promise!
Overall I really love it, but if you're someone who likes noticeable colour on your cheeks, then I would probably give this a miss! But if  you are like me and sometimes like to look a bit more natural but don't want to skip out on the blush then do give it a try! Its only around the 6 or 7 euro mark so you can't go wrong.
Its available from all usual Rimmel stockists! :)

NYX Wishlist

Ok I have to apologise, but my trip away is getting closer and closer, and because of this, my shopping list is getting longer and longer. Oops! With Inglot, Mac and Sephora at my disposal in Times Square I am going to be up to my neck in high end make up. However, sad as it may seem, I'm more excited about drugstore make up, a lot of which we can't get here. I'm not going to do a wish list for every single brand I want to buy bits from, but I thought I'd do a post on NYX, mainly because its so hyped up here, and also for the fact its not readily accessible. So no matter what happens, I'm not coming home without NYX make up!! :)

First up is probably the most obvious one of all, the Butter Lip Glosses. Raved about by beauty bloggers across the globe for being non sticky, super pigmented, and smelling delicious, I will definitely be picking up a couple of shades of these to try out!

Next up is the HD Eyeshadow base. I've actually had this before and I loved it! Any time I used it my eyeshadow did not budge, but unfortunately I tried to buy it from the site I had bought it from previously and it wasn't there!! NOOOOO!! So I shall definitely be stocking up on this when I get to a stand! :)

I'm useless at contouring. Like absolutely useless. I'm just so pale I can never seem to get a right shade of bronzer that's not too orange on my Casper white face. So seen as the Powder Blush in Taupe is meant to be the perfect contour shade for paler ladies like myself, I'll be giving it a try. And maybe one or two other shades, just for the blog of course. ;)

I'm a blush fiend ok?? The newly released Baked Blushes just look so beautiful I have to give them a go? It would be rude not to... Wouldn't it?

And lastly, a base. I don't hear a lot about NYX base products for some reason, but this Invincible Fullest Coverage Foundation sounds really interesting. It claims to offer full coverage, but with a natural looking finish! I don't have hugely problematic skin, but I'd love to try this for days I get really bad breakouts, which to tend to happen once a month... :(

There is lots more I could add to this list, and being truthful, when I get to a stand I will probably buy loads more than this! But for now this is what I definitely have my eye on, and will go to hell and back to make sure I get them!

Have you tried any NYX?

Shine On

Hey everybody,
I have very kindly been nominated for the Shine On Award by the very lovely Clare over at The Beauty Chest, so once you're finished reading this post, why not head on over to her blog and have a look see! :)

So there are a few little rules which I'm going to mention right now to get them out of the way coz then we can get on to the fun stuff!

  • First of all, you must display this 'Shine On Award' logo within the blog post.

  • You must acknowledge the person who nominated you and add a link to their blog (Hi Clare thank you!!!) :)
  • Leave 7 random facts about yourself.
  • Nominate 15 bloggers that you support and think deserve the award and link their blog in your post
  • And finally... Contact said bloggers and let them know they've been nominated!! :)
So lets get on to the random and juicy facts shall we??

Fact 1: I love the colour green and all variations of it. So much so that its stretched to my wardrobe, if you had a peak in there you'd find mint green Converse, a turquoise green dress, and many other items full of greenness!
Fact 2: When I was younger, maybe about 4 or 5, I had a pet rabbit, For some reason though I decided to take him out of his cage and I ended up pulling his ears (no idea why), which resulted in him hopping away never to be found again. :(

Fact 3: I'm super close to my family. We've been through a lot over the years, with me losing two brothers, and a third brother having to visit the UK for 3 months to have a bone marrow transplant. It was tough being away from my parents and him for so long, but I stayed with an aunt who is like my second mother now, and because of all this we're super close and I'm so glad for it.

Fact 4: I hate my teeth. My mother thinks I'm crazy and says they're fine, but they have gaps in them and I think they're an awful colour. I've decided that if the time comes for me to get married the first thing to be sorted out before the wedding will be my teeth.

Fact 5: My favourite snack is Salt and Vinegar rice cakes with peanut butter spread on top, with a banana sliced on top. I know it sounds manky, but trust me it's actually really tasty! There's just something about the sweetness and the saltiness that work really well together! Try it! ;)

Fact 6: I worry about things too much. I've been known to freak out at my boyfriend if he doesn't reply to a text on a night out because I think he's passed out in a ditch somewhere. Its ridiculous because I can lie awake at night for hours worrying about things that may or may not even happen! I'm trying to relax a bit and change my ways in baby steps though, so fingers crossed!

Fact 7: This time next month I'm heading to America for the first time. I'm so so excited about it as I'm going to New York! I'm looking forward to doing all the touristy things like the Statue Of Liberty and Ground Zero etc, but I'm also so excited about hitting the shops and going mad buying make up in Sephora and everywhere and anywhere else I find along the way! Eeek!!

So they are my random facts... I hope you found some of them interesting.. And if not, well sorry I'm so boring!! ;) hehehehe....

So onto my nominations:
 1 :Makeup by Candlelight
 2: Twofaced
 3: beautyangel
 4:BlushfulBeauty
 5:My Stepping Stone
 6: Dolly Dowsie
 7:The Blusher Diaries
8: Make Up by Lauren Marie
9: Girl With The Skew Earring
 10: Love-Joice

So I tried very hard to tag 15 blogs, but most of the ones I wanted to tag had been tagged already.. However I managed to get to 10, so I didn't do too badly!

Thanks for reading guys, and if you have been nominated link your post in the comments so I can read yours! I love little insights into peoples life! :)

Lazy Girls Guide to taking off Make-Up

As much as I love make-up and putting it on, there's no better feeling than taking it off after a long day or night. But what do you do when you arrive home late after a night out, or you're so tired after a long day at work that you'd love nothing more than jumping straight into bed as you are?
Well you'll be glad to know that happens to most of us women. The effort of having to cleanse tone and moisturise seems huge at night, so if for some reason you decided to give it a miss, I'm showing you 3 super quick ways to at least remove your make up before you hit the hay.

Soap and Glory Off Your Face Wipes: Ok, I know face wipes are bad for your skin and dry it out and this that and the other, but even if you just use them when you come in at 3am after a night on the tiles they won't do too much damage. These particular ones from Soap and Glory claim to have 3 in 1 properties, in that they cleanse, tone and smooth the skin. They also claim to minimise pores, and soften skin... All I know is they remove my make up and that's really all anyone wants from face wipes isn't it? If you're familiar with the Peaches and Clean cleanser and like the smell then you'll love these as its the exact same fruity yet minty smell! Its 6.00 for a pack, and they are just handy to have for make up removing emergencies! (If there's such a thing).

Garnier Micellar Solution: Ok so I only got this last week, but it doesn't have to be this particular one, it can be any micellar solution! They are possibly the quickest way of removing your make up! A couple of drops on a cotton pad and a quick wipe of the face and you're done! It removes any make up, even the most stubborn mascara, which is great as it cuts out needing to use a separate eye make up remover. If you're not familiar with micellar solutions at this stage, they are a clear substance which almost looks like water, which contain 'micelles' which act in a way similar to magnets, which then draw out the make up and other impurities from the skin. Again I wouldn't use it as a replacement to proper cleansing and toning, I'd use it as an extra  step in the process, but if you're feeling lazy at least if you use this you can feel slightly less guilty going to bed! ;) Its 6.29 from most pharmacies!

L'Oreal Miracle Cleansing Oil Face and Eyes: I left this until last because its the one that requires the most effort, but even at that its minimal. All you do is take 2/3 drops of the oil, rub it on to your face until it turns to a white slightly milky texture, and then rinse off with warm water. It literally removes every ounce of make up from my face! I had thought it didn't really suit my skin first, because after a couple of uses I had a couple of break outs, but I think it was coincidence because after giving it a break for a while and coming back to it again, its grand! Its 10.79 which is slightly more expensive than the others, but you use so little of it at a time that it will last ages!

So that's it ladies, that's what I do when I'm falling into bed but need to take my make up off!
What about you ladies? Do you use anything like this or do you mind going to bed with your make up on?

Wet N Wild Mega Last Lipsticks

Happy Paddy's weekend everybody! I hope you are all well and happy and enjoying whatever you're up to! I'm back today with a review of another product from Wet N Wild, and this time its their Mega Last Lipsticks!

I had heard so much about the lipsticks from various bloggers, so I had actually been planning on picking some up when I got to the States, (4 weeks to go woohoo) but when Wet N Wild arrived here I breathed a sigh of relief. Now I could buy myself some of these famous lipsticks, while at the same time freeing up some room in my suitcase for lots more make up! Win Win! :)
So before I tell you what I think, I'll tell you what the brand themselves say about their product.

'This 4 hour, long-wearing lip colour, leaves a semi-matte, creme finish in one stroke. Glides on easily with rich velvety colour that doesn't cake, feather or bleed.'

While I do like these a lot, I don't agree with the blurb completely. I find application to be slightly difficult as the lipstick actually pulls at the lips when putting it on. So glides on? Me don't think so! However once its on its a completely different story altogether! The product itself is so comfortable when its on! Its so creamy in my opinion it doesn't feel like a lipstick! I often find myself mushing my lips together like I would if I had a lip balm on, because I honestly can't believe that its so comfortable to wear! Another great thing about these is that they last ages after being applied. I've eaten and drank while wearing these lipsticks, and although they do transfer a little bit, you're not left with all your lipstick on the side of a glass and none on your lips! I find they last maybe 4 to 5 hours on me without being topped up, but even if it didn't I wouldn't mind, because I don't have an issue with reapplying lip products throughout the day. I do notice that after wearing the lipstick for some time, my lips do eventually feel a little bit dry, but nothing that a dab of lip balm won't sort out.
Although they aren't a completely matte finish, they do cling to dry patches (I found out the hard way, so do make sure your lips are prepped before use.

L-R: Rose Bud, Red Velvet, Just Peachy, Smokin Hot Pink, Mauve Outta Here

I have five of these in total and the colours I have are:
  • Red Velvet which is a bright almost coral red. Its a beautiful shade and although its one I don't go to every day, I know its one I'll reach for in the Summertime quite a lot as it'll be gorgeous with a tan, be it fake or real. ;)
  • Just Peachy This is a shade I just picked up recently, but it's fast becoming my favourite colour altogether! Its a lovely peach shade, which I didn't think would suit me too much, but its so nice on!  Its what I thought Rimmel's Apocalips in the shade Luna was going to be, but so much more at the same time. Since I bought this its the only lip product I've worn every day since, I just love it so much!
  • Rose-Bud I picked this up prior to Just Peachy, because I thought this would be more suitable for my skin tone as it was slightly darker. This looks like a dark peach kind of nude shade in the bullet (great descriptions I know), but when its on my lips it nearly looks more brown. I'm not saying I don't like it, because it is a very weareable shade, its just not my favourite of the bunch.
  • Mauve Outta here is a really wearable mauve pink shade. Its a great every day shade, and is something I just throw on if  I'm feeling lazy but want to wear something on my lips! As they say in the beauty blogging world its a 'your lips but better shade' ;)
  • Smoking Hot Pink is last, but by no means least. I left it until last because I haven't actually worn this yet, but what I can tell you is its a bright blue toned pink which I think will be a nice alternative to the dark winter shades for nights out!

So they are all I have for now, but I have to say there's a couple other shades catching my eye, Sugar Plum Fairy being one of them (its meant to be dupe for MAC'S Rebel). These are great lipsticks for the price, which is ridiculous at only 2.99! However, you get what you pay for in the line of packaging. Packaging never usually bothers me with products unless its impractical in some way, which in this instance it is. The lipstick itself doesn't twist down all the way, so every time you take the lid on and off the product, it nicks the lipstick leaving big marks in the product which is a bit of a pain. Besides that though, I'm seriously in love with these. It just shows that you don't have to pay big money for a good quality product, and with so many shades to choose from (26 in total on Wet N Wild's website, not sure if they all made it over here), you will more than likely find a couple of MAC dupes.

Have you lovely ladies tried these? If so, what's your favourite?

Spring has Sprung!

Finally, the sun has made its appearance and its beginning to feel a lot like Spring. Although next week there could potentially be snow, rain and any other god nasty weather, but for now I'm making the most of the bright yellow ball in the sky. In celebration of said bright yellow ball, I've decided to shake up my make up bag a bit, and add in some products that I feel reflect the change in the weather.
So here's what I've chosen!

Coral shades more or less scream Springtime to me, so I've added in my Sleek Blush Trio In Lace because its just so pretty. It has 3 differing shades or coral shades in it, with the middle shade including some glitter which means it doubles up as a highlighter! As with all other Sleek blushes, they are super pigmented so a little goes a long way.  I picked mine up from Cloud 10 Beauty for 10 or 11 euro, which is great value!

As you've learned from previous posts, I have a soft spot for blush, lots and lots of blush... So I couldn't not add in this beaut also from Sleek, Pixie Pink.  Its a real Barbie pink colour, and in the pan it looks petrifying,  but when applied to the cheeks it just gives a really natural colour to the skin. Something similar to being out for a nice brisk walk in my opinion. Again, super pigmented, so you only need to tap the brush ever so slightly into the product to get enough for both cheeks! This only costs around 5 euro again from Cloud 10 Beauty.

Back in my late teens I developed an obsession with coloured liquid eyeliner, No 7 ones in particular. However they did get pushed to the side as I got more 'mature' (I lie, I'm still 12 inside). But now that the sun is shining, I feel like giving them another go, so I've rediscovered this beautiful teal green one from Rimmel, so I'll be using this to add a pop of colour to my usual every day eyelook, (neutrals, neutrals, oh and more neutrals). I can't remember when I got this, so can't remember the price, but its Rimmel so its not going to be expensive, I'd say around 5 or 6 euro.

MUA are one of my favourite brands by far, I can't get enough of their eyeshadow palettes, and this Glitter Ball palette is one my mother very kindly got me last year but I never used. Its all glittery shades, but its made up of a variety of different colours, from pinks to nudes (yay), greens and purples. Its just really nice bright and colourful palette for something a bit different and I can't wait to get some good use out of it. It was also cheap as chips at 4 pounds, so less than 5 euro!

The last thing I took out of my ever expanding lip product collection was this Revlon Lip Butter in Sorbet. Its a real beauty, a nice vibrant pink, perfect for Spring/Summer evenings. I was so eager to try this in fact that I took it out today. I was less than impressed to discover the bullet of the lipstick come clean out of the packaging however. And the reason for this is I'm assuming is because the bullet didn't actually fit into the packaging properly. It was actually the opposite way to what it was meant to be! So it kept banging of the plastic and lumps were being knocked off it all sides aswell.... However I do love the colour, so I think I will repurchase it nearer to the Summer. For the time being I may use one of my other bright colour lip butters instead.

So ladies and gents... For now this is what I shall be using to brighten up my face while the weather is nice!
I'm sure I've plenty more I can add at later dates so I shall keep ye all posted!
Is there anything here you've tried?
What do you use to jazz up your make up bag for Spring?

Catrice Nail Polish in 'Karl Says Tres Chic'

Don't get me wrong, every girl needs a few bright nail polishes in her collection, but she also equally needs more toned down wearable shades for every day. I've tried a variety of nude shades and they just don't work for me at all. Nudes just make me look like a mannequin in a shop window, so if I want a nice neutral nail that's not going to offend anybody at an interview or something like that, I go for in a soft or light pink.
The colour I'm talking about today is neither soft, nor light but it works and is a colour that's not going to draw too much attention or looks of disgust. Its Catrice's nail polish in 'Karl Says Tres Chic' which was part of the 'Ultimate Nudes Collection' so I'm not 100 percent sure if its still available on stands, and if its not, well its a travesty I tell thee! ( I've just checked the Catrice site, it has been re released, whoop!)

Now the name itself to me is something special, as I picked this up one day at a stand after going back with something that was broken and the polish just caught my eye and I grabbed it. I only noticed the name after I got out of the shop, and Karl was actually my brothers name who unfortunately passed away when he was 13, so to me this is a message from above! :)
Anyway the polish itself is a beautiful creamy neutral pink, it just goes with anything. I have found the formula of Catrice Nail Polishes to be fairly decent, and this is no exception. One coat of the polish gives fairly opaque coverage, but I generally tend to apply 2 coats anyway just to make it last a bit longer.
The brush is also a thick enough brush that makes it easy to disperse product over the nail in just one swipe without making a mess, which I somehow always manage to do!
Catrice polishes are cheap as chips at around the 4 euro mark, and come in a great selection of colours, and they also have a great choice of glitter polishes which are perfect as top coats, or else to use as an accent nail.

Have you tried any Catrice Polishes?
What do you think?

Penney's/Primark Picks!

So more or less since Christmas, I am being very sensible and trying not to shop needlessly, because I'm going away in a few weeks time and want to save as much as possible for that. I could easily go in to Penney's and spend 80 or 90 euro in one go, but I've been doing well lately and haven't bought anything in there really in weeks! Until now that is. I've been so good that I decided I could go in and pick up just a few bits to brighten up my wardrobe for when Spring eventually realises that its late getting here and the sun comes out!

First up I bought socks. Lots of socks. I don't know why I bought so many really because its not like anyone  is going to see them except me. I just couldn't resist the quirky colours and animals! I think my favourites though are the ones on the right, which are so so handy for wearing with pumps and open shoes in the summer. I hate wearing shoes without socks, and I won't wear popsocks (smelly feet central), so these are perfect as they are cotton like normal socks, so they don't make your feet sweat too much.

Its not  a trip to Penney's without a look in the accessories section. They have so many pretty things in there, including some beautiful sequined bags, but I restrained myself and just picked up this trio of bracelets. I love the colours, and the different designs all within the one bracelet! It came in plenty of other colours but this was my favourite.
Can anyone go into Penney's without checking out the make up? Just me? I spotted these eyeshadow palettes on the Essence stand and I couldn't decide between the two of them, so I got both. The first one has some really pretty pastel colours, which will make some really nice eye looks when the weather picks up, and the second one has more neutral colours in it. The colours seem to have a pink tone to them, reminding me of the Naked 3 palette, so I figured I'd give it a go. They were only 4.89 euro each, and there was other colours in them aswell, so well worth a look I think!
I spotted  these Catrice 8 Hour Lip Polishes online a few weeks back and HAD to have them. The idea seems similar to the YSL Glossy stains, the colour of a lipstick, with the shine of a gloss and a staining effect after the glossiness wears off, topped off with the promise of 8 hours wear time! I picked up two shades, Mission Pinkpossible, which is a really bright blue toned pink, and Strawberry's Secret, which to me is a nice light coral colour. I'll  be putting these through their paces in the next few weeks and doing a review, so keep your eyes peeled for that!

To finish I picked up some shoes. I love when the weather gets a bit warmer to get rid of my boots and heavier shoes and go for something light and girly, so when I saw these I had to pick up a couple of colours. They're so light and they're not completely flat so they'll be nice and comfy, and they'll go with lots of different bits and pieces, especially jeans and nice tops!
To match the coral shoes I then picked up this jumper to match. I know they look slightly different colours here, but I promise they are a lot closer in real life! Also, this jumper is a huge fit, I've ended up taking it in a size 6, and its still very big!

Have you ladies done any shopping lately?
If so what have you bought?

Sephora Wishlist

So last week Twitter was set alight with the news that Sephora now delivers to the UK. This is good news for all us Irish ladies aswell because thanks to the fantastic service that is Parcel Motel, we can also shop till we drop. Apparently there is a flat rate of 10 pounds for delivery for orders over 75 pounds, so if there was a couple of friends that also wanted a few bits then you could always go together and deliver would work out cheap as chips. Sephora have said that there won't be any customs charges, but I don't know is that for them. But still, we can shop in Sephora now! Woohoo!
Anyway, this news didn't really make any difference to me, because in 6 weeks time I shall be in New York, so I can actually go into a Sephora, and touch and see and swatch to my hearts content!
I have been eyeing up the website frequently to see what bits I'm going to get, and these are the products I've narrowed it down to. However all of these may not be possible as Sephora is more on the high end side, but we'll see. ;)

First of all is the Naked 3 palette. I've been thinking about this for ages now, but am yet to give in to the hype. There's something about the pink tones that are just calling out to me!

Next up is the Sephora Collection Rouge Infusion Lip Ink: I've heard great things about Sephora's own brand products and this Lip Ink looks really interesting. From the description it seems to be similar to the YSL Glossy Stains, but for a lot less money! Also, how cute is the test tube like packaging?

It wouldn't be a trip to the States without picking up an Amazonian Clay Blush from Tarte. Every beauty blogger across the globe has raved about these, and apparently the shade Exposed is great as a contour colour for fair skin. I'm akin to Casper the Friendly Ghost, and I can't contour to save my life, so this could be just what I need to get myself in gear to practice it a bit more.

Another really hyped up product is the famous Beauty Blender. Ok so this in reality is just a really expensive make up sponge, but after trying  and loving the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, and another copy of the BB that I picked up in TK Maxx, I just have to try this and see is it really worth it.

I've been wanting to try a full coverage foundation for ages, but haven't been able to find anything decent in the drug store, but the Kat Von D Lock It Foundation is meant to have exceptional coverage, and as its not available here I may be tempted to pick it up on my holiers! Its also a bit less expensive than some of the other more high end offerings, so that means more money to spend!

And last but by no means least is the Tarte Airbrush Finish Bamboo Foundation Brush.  Apparently Sephora brushes are phenomenal, but browsing the site I didn't really see any that I liked. However, this brush from Tarte looks extremely sturdy with its bamboo handle, and it just looks like it would buff in foundation to perfection!

There was lots more I could really have added to this post, but I dread even seeing what these bits have added up to! But by the time I get around to going to New York I may have won the Lotto so I may be able to afford all these! ;)

Have any of you ordered from the Sephora site yet?
Have you been in Sephora?

Thanks for reading!

February Favourites...

Hey everyone, happy March! Ok so I'm a couple of days late but I'm a bit stuffed up with a cold and had been feeling just meh. But now I'm back with a months full of favourites!

First up I've been really getting back into my  Undress Me Too eyeshadow palette from MUA. Its a pretty identical dupe for the Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay from what I've read online and I've rediscovered it this month. Its made up of a range of different neutral colour eyeshadows ranging from mattes to shimmers and its perfect for creating either a natural every day look or else a smokey night time look. And its a steal at just under 5 euro!

Sleek is one of my favourite brands and I especially love the blushes. This month I'm loving the shade Rose Gold. Again its hailed as a really good dupe for Nars Orgasm, but I can't compare because I don't own it, but I love Sleek's offering. Its a beautiful pink coral shade with gold shimmer throughout it, and it transfers on to the face really nicely, as it gives the colour of blush, but the shimmer leaves a really nice highlight. I shall definitely be wearing this throughout the summer when I get a bit of a tan. (When I say tan I mean red. Up to my elbows')

I recently ran out of my beloved Healthy Mix, and rather than going straight out and buying a new bottle, I decided I'd be good and raid my foundation drawer. (Don't judge me). The first one I tried was another Rimmel one which I can't think of the name of, but after a few uses I ran out of that one! Aaaagh!! But anyway, I then reached for my Wake Me Up Foundation instead, and its all I've reached for the last few weeks. I find its a really light coverage but I've had a really bad break out the last  few days, and I found it was easily enough built up to cover it. It just makes me look awake and healthy, and makes me look like I've lovely glowy skin, when its in fact the opposite at the moment.

My lips have been ridiculously dry this month and its taken ages to get them somewhat back to normal, then I go and get a headcold and I'm right back to where I started! But because of this I haven't been able to wear lipstick which has been killing me! However I have been wearing gloss without too much hassle, and I've really loved this Catrice Infinite Shine Lipgloss in Pink Up Your Life. Its a lovely pink with gold shimmer through, its very like the Rose Gold Blush, except in lipgloss form. I don't know why I left it to the side for so long, because its a super creamy gloss, and there's no stickiness at all, not like other glosses I've tried. It doesn't last too long, but I have no problem reapplying it a few times a day anyway!

There's one fragrance I haven't been able to get enough in February either, and its Caroline Heherra  L'Eau, which is one I picked up in Lanzarote a couple of years back. This is my second bottle of the stuff, and after using up the first bottle I had bought, I couldn't wait to get back to Spain to pick up another bottle as it couldn't be got here. I'm rubbish at describing scents, but if you could put Spring and Summer in a bottle then this would be it. Its just so fresh and it gives me an instant lift as soon as I put it on. It contains notes of Lemon and Orange Tree Flowers, Jasmine, and Apple Tree Flowers, but deeper  notes like Sandalwood also, so its while its sweet, it still has enough deeper notes to keep it from being sickly.

So that's it for this month! Not a whole lot of products really, but honestly they are the ones I have reached for without giving a second thought this month.

What have you all been loving?
I'd love to know. :)

Thanks for reading,
